Representation of age using editing

Shot duration;
When the young female is on screen, the shots used become a lot more fast pace with shorter shot duration. This is to inform us of her young age meaning she is chaotic.  Longer shots are used for the older characters to imply that was they have to say is more meaningful.

Establishing shot;
To begin the younger characters are together in a scene and separately, you see the older characters together too. This is to present the possible divide between age within the show and implies future problems regarding age.

Shot reverse shot;
Shown when the characters are conversing. Yet, camera is more often focused upon young girl inferring she is more important than the characters around her. Implies that the young teen girl requires attention. This is stereotypical for a 16 year old girl.

Jump cut;
They are often used to disorientate the viewer, or show how disoriented a character is. They are used to show the young girl is disorientated as she runs away. Jump are the most used cut in the clip. This suggests the scenes are chaotic and unpredictable.

Zoom in;
Used to address the key points within a scene. For example, used when zooming in on a picture to imply that it has a hidden meaning the audience don't know of yet.
